IS IT EXPENSIVE?
Sanding is the cheapest option! Usually we are able to give you a rough idea of the cost over the phone. We will always give you a written quote before starting any work and this quote is completely free of charge. Professional sanding and refinishing costs less than a mid range carpet.
HOW LONG DOES THE JOB TAKE?
Depends on the condition of the floor and what needs to be done , but usually 1-2 days for 1 or 2 rooms and 3 or 5 days for a whole house.
I have heard a lot of different replies to my question about gap filling.
There are different methods to fill the gaps: Saw dust and resin is not always the best way to do it, it requires a solid floor because if there is even a slide vibration or movement the filler will crack, in this case we are offering the flexible fillers from Bona (Bona gap master) or Draughex. Another way to fill gaps is with wooden slivers which are suitable for gaps larger than 4mm.
My floorboards look grey and damaged. Can you fix it?
Yes! Most floors are in a similar condition. We will repair the boards that are damaged, and take off the layer of damaged wood exposing the amazing floor underneath.
